Finally got over the artist block that's been afflicting me for the last few weeks,I have penciled one and a half pages between Mon and Wed this week.Here's the blue line roughs of a page from Promise written by Dirk Van Dom.

2000AD Secret Project

The Secret Project was organised by Mark J. Howard (The Legendary Shark,)on the 2000ADonline message board as a get well card/ one off comic that was sent to Carlos Ezquerra artist and co-creator of Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog plus many many more.Carlos had just undergone a major operation and Mark decided to get fans and comic pros to draw and write their get well messages to the great man.
My piece was of a panel from a 1979 Strontium Dog story 'Journey into Hell'. I originally drew it back '79 as an 11 year old using crayons , it was the image that made me really notice both the character of Johnny Alpha and of the art work of Carlos Ezquerra.When it came to deciding what to draw this image came to me in a shot,I started drawing it digitaly get it 90% done when my laptop overheated losing all the work I had done on it.The day after while looking up my loft,I found my granddaughter's crayons from the last time she had stayed as soon as I seen them I knew right away that I had to do the drawing in crayon as I had done all those many years ago.
